In a world of big brands and loud advertising, there are family businesses working quietly. For over 100 years, we at Agricola Chiera have been producing extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality… for ourselves and for others.
Today, as our brand is present in various markets, we have decided to enter Switzerland directly as well. We operate without intermediaries so that our products can go “FROM THE PRODUCER TO YOUR TABLE.”

Since 1906, in Calabria
We were founded in 1906 by our founder, Grandfather Francesco, in Calabria, in the municipality of Caulonia, in the area of Campoli. Among resilient olive trees and the sea breeze, an oil takes shape that carries the scent of family and land.
The 1950s: Ciliberto and Orlando grow the company.
In 1950, Francesco’s sons, Ciliberto and Orlando, expanded production with new olive groves in the municipalities of Stilo, Monasterace, and Santa Caterina Ionio, establishing a true commercial structure.
The third generation
In 1988, Ciliberto’s sons, Giuseppe and Armando, followed in the family’s footsteps, further expanding production with olive groves in Isca sullo Ionio and Sellia Marina. In 1990, they arrived in Puglia, first in the province of Taranto and then throughout the Salento region.
Today
Over the years the land to be cultivated has increased, the productions have diversified, but we have remained a family farm.
We are a family. Before being producers, we are custodians of an agricultural tradition made of work, land, sun, and passion that has lasted for over a century.
Today, we produce high-quality olive oil and wine in our own wineries and olive mills, using raw materials from our lands, which we cultivate directly with the valuable support of many farmers and agricultural collaborators.
In Italy, we also have direct stores in Chieti, Desenzano, Peschiera del Garda, Bardolino, Sirmione, and Lonato, where we have also established a new winery and a new olive mill.
Because now we are also in Switzerland
We have opened our first store in Lugano and are now accessible to all our customers through our online shop, bringing here a true, traceable extra virgin olive oil at a fair price, directly from those who produce it.
